Our new reception children have settled in brilliantly and are having a wonderful time at school.

Our new kitchen has been a huge success! After reading the story of the Gingerbread Man one of the children asked if we could make gingerbread men. They next day the children were busy making and decorating gingerbread biscuits. They made enough each to take home and share with their family. We have plans to make spaghetti bolognese, another request, and tomato soup using the tomatoes grown in our green area.

Our topic for this half term is 'People who help us'; we have invited plenty of visitors in: a very special 'pat dog', fire-fighters, a police officer, our caretaker and a paramedic.

Our new playhouse is currently being transformed into a vet's surgery, something the children thought would be a good idea. They have been busy collecting resources to put in the surgery to make their learning really fun.

Cygnets are always playing outside, rain or shine. They love the huge puddle the rain brings at the bottom of the playground. They get their wellies on and can't wait to jump in!

We plan to do a lot of gardening this term to brighten up the outdoor area; planting spring bulbs, and adding some winter flowers should do the trick.
