Thank you East Preston Fire Station20th Oct 2011 11:39:21
Cygnets have been learning about people who help us and what better way to understand the important jobs fire fighters do, than to visit a fire station.
We were met by fire fighter Mays who showed us around the station and talked to us about being safe at home. She told us what to do in an emergency and also taught us 'Stop Drop and Roll', if your clothes catch fire this is the quickest way to put ....

On Wednesday 23rd March, seven children from Swans and Kingfisher's class made their way to Highdown for the annual cross country race.

The weather was stunning, the racers nervous and excited and a large crowd was ready to cheer the runners on.

Our runners were fantastic; we are really proud of ....

Enjoying the Snow2nd Dec 2010 05:56:38
We woke up on the 1st of December to find the ground covered in snow, not a huge amount but enough for it to look magical.

We were certainly down in numbers as many children found it hard to get in, but those that did found themselves trekking up to the woods (after maths of course).

Many of the children commented on how beautiful the scenery looked as we walked hand in hand up the hill.

It was so peaceful and ....

Our first Inter-house General Knowledge Quiz took place on Friday 22nd October. The teams were ready with their banners and flags, the audience seated and eager to cheer on their team and the question master prepared. To begin with it seemed like it would be a draw with all the teams scoring equally by half time. Then Zeus took the lead for a while but it wasn’t long before Athena caught up and carried on scoring valuable ....

On Wednesday afternoon after much excitement the election of team captains began. The children talked about why they should be their house leader, what they would do to encourage their team and how they would set a good example. Each team voted for their own Captain and Vice Captain.

Congratulations to our new Captains and Vice Captains, I am sure you will do a wonderful job of leading and encouraging your team.
