Our first Inter-house General Knowledge Quiz took place on Friday 22nd October. The teams were ready with their banners and flags, the audience seated and eager to cheer on their team and the question master prepared. To begin with it seemed like it would be a draw with all the teams scoring equally by half time. Then Zeus took the lead for a while but it wasn’t long before Athena caught up and carried on scoring valuable points. A quick fire round for the children in the audience was great news for Apollo and Poseidon as hands shot up and questions were answered, who knew who was in the lead now? Finally, with the scores added we waited for the winning team to be announced. It had been a very close game but the winners were… ATHENA
Everyone agreed it was a great afternoon and we look forward to the next one, which will be an Inter-house Maths Quiz – what team will walk away triumphant? |
